Skypilot the issue I see is that we all know they meant no harm but what harm did the money laundered do? Drug dealers, terrorists....general scum bags have managed to legitimise 77 million dollars that will be used to poison our kids and blow people up!
Does it....can it get more serious?
The government departments that are tasked with our safety have foiled 13 terrorist attempts in the last few years and yet we have Australia's largest bank failing in its most basic duty!
I don't wish shareholders any harm but I can't see how this can end well for the bank. Even their own web site, see link, says this is their top priority and everyone is trained to look out for this kind of behaviour.
As I said I don't want to see people lose money but I am completely ashamed and outraged at how our biggest bank could let this happen.
A few heads rolling is simply not good enough IMO. DB
