bodo288, the merger occurred well before the collapse of GS, so if I am correct with the assumption that Adelaide Bank was financing GSF, then BAB was not taking on a "known problem".
Could you please point me to the transfer information you mention?
I am of the opinion that this was as you refer to it a "transfer" and not a "purchase" as you have implied earlier.
