Based in East Gippsland and although not a farmer can tell you we have been in drought and my backyard has not looked drier in the 8 years I have been living at my current abode. The grass looks virtually dead and crunches under your feet.
But in breaking news we have received 10mm of rain over the weekend period and up to 20mm in some areas.
And although this in itself is not drought breaking it was the sort of steady soaking rain that gives hope. We will need a wetter spring/summer to break our drought or it will turn into a green drought ( looks green on top for a period but soil is dry as).
I also recently travelled to Canberra and noticed Southern NSW in the Monaro region looked worse than East Gippsland. This is more sheep country but closer to the coast has dairy i.e Bega and surrounds, so hoping they are getting some rain out of the same system.
Western Victoria is apparently not in drought and I believe this is an area that Bega sources milk supply from, so not all areas are looking cactus.
For what it's worth bought more around 3.60 mark to top up super.
Good luck to all shareholders and bring on the rains.

    Christopher
