News: BHP BHP signs MOUs with Chinese copper producers to lower emissions

    BEIJING, March 28 (Reuters) - Global miner BHP Group Ltd (BHP) said on Tuesday it had signed memorandums of understanding with two Chinese copper producers to reduce emissions and improve energy efficiency in the smelting and refining processes.

    The two companies, state-owned China Copper and Daye Nonferrous Metals Group Holdings, will work with BHP to explore the use of low-carbon fuels, improvements in energy efficiency, recycling by-products, and digitalizing production process, BHP said on its official Wechat account.
