SANTIAGO, Sept 4 (Reuters) - Chile's total copper production rose 1.7% in July on a yearly basis to reach 430,900 metric tons, the country's copper commission Cochilco said on Monday.
Production was up 5.71% at the Collahuasi mine to 50,000 tons, Cochilco said, while output from Escondida - controlled by Australian mining giant BHP (BHP) - rose 1.23% to 82,400 tons.
State-owned giant Codelco, meanwhile, saw its copper output slip 2.6% in the period to 124,700 tons, the commission added.
