    My bet would be they are just rolling out the debt maturity.

    Any shale writedown would be a non cash impairment, and small enough not to trouble any loan covenants around debt to equity ratios.

    It again demonstrates what I consider is a key competitive advantage of BHP - its ability to raise debt at very low rates.

    Waiting for a dip to $30 to add the next parcel - if it eventuates.
