It will. Just wait for the republicans to get into power. Most are generally pro it from what I’ve read, but you always have those who don’t care for economic development, or changes to old society. Or ultimately some just trying to extract $. The reality is the mine is enormous and of both economic importance, copper security to the USA and obviously needed for all these ambitious green targets which the left leaning democrats always flaunt.

Mineral riches like this can change these often poorer small cities and deliver a meaningful benefit to quality of life. Unfortunately economic illiterates don’t under that.
