Yes yes, there are costs associated with delivering that revenue. Just in the same way there were costs with delivering deferred revenue for the previous year. Those costs are borne at the time they are incurred.
The cycle has neither stopped nor ended in that regard.
We're not talking about versions of a story here, we're talking about accounting.
