Bioniche Life Sciences (ASX:BNC) has engaged Evercore Partners to help manage the divestment of its Animal Health business.
The move comes after the Canadian biopharmaceutical company received a number of unsolicited offers for the business.
Bioniche says the potential sale could unlock corporate value for the benefit of shareholders.
The company says it has successfully built its Animal Health business over 34 years to a point where it is profitable before research and development.
Bioniche posted an $11.4 million loss for the first half of fiscal 2013.
