I consider myself a fair way left of centre but like a lot of likeminded people and a far bigger concern in the EU is the growing threat of the impacts of climate change. Nuclear Energy is by far the most efficient method of providing base load energy now and for a long time into the future, I think the pragmatists will prevail.
