"The brutish thug, Putin, needs to be put in his place so he can stop harassing his peace loving neighbours in the Ukraine."

Yes Putin should follow the US example instead by:

    1. Dropping his domestic approval rating by more than 40% to the ANTI-democratic levels that President Obama and Tony Abbott now hold.

    2. Stop moving troops within their borders so much and just
----a: Illegally Invade Ukraine to look for fictitious WMDs (Like Iraq)
----b: Illegally bomb Kazakhstan, giving way to a new state in Kazakh territory under dubious non-referendum/non-democratic means (Like Kosovo).

    3. Fund the illegal overthrow of the Canadian government in the 'name of democracy' and then get Canada to join CIS and install a 'missile defence shield' on the US border. Russia will claim it is to protect itself against Mexico.

"which have transformed him into the image of his hero, the brutal and maniacal Stalin. "

FALSE. Putin called Stalin a 'bloody dictator'.

Putin, like many Russians applauds Stalin's ACTIONS in WW2 defeating Hitler (Who wouldn't?), but Stalin's other actions are mostly disliked by Putin and Russians.

I actually did some research into the MSM claim of Russian popularity of Stalin, and found MSM to be clearly distorting the actual information being asked in polls.. Statistics clearly show that 'admiration' of Stalin has dropped from 4% to 1% between 2001 and 2012. While indifference has nearly tripled from 12% to 33%. Many other questions on this poll reveal that although there is an admiration for the ACTIONS of Stalin in defeating Hitler, he is certainly not favourable on many other subjects.

"The time when such brutes ruled the world are surely over!"

If only US neo-cons would learn this.
