understood.
the HCH deal could be the "material transaction".
i don't consider the completion of due diligence on an option to buy deal to be a material transaction.
the "material capital raising" must be separate to the HCH deal.
even if a sale of the copper assets has been fast forwarded, that's an asset sale, not a capital raising.
so either way, at least one new item of business has arisen, as you put it, a 'freak occurrence'
a capital raising, especially for a material acquisition, does not happen in the normal course of business but neither is it a freak occurrence especially when a potential acquisition has been flagged.
despite poor performance from management and share price for extended period, hopefully negative judgement can be reserved and this deal can have a significant positive impact.
i expected 2 new items of business, but perhaps the material transaction is simply the option deal which at the option stage is immaterial.
