probably also worth noting is that you won't be buying 1 share to get the chance for 1 discounted share. It will be > 10 shares owned for the right to 1 new share. It's just to give existing retail holders the same offering as new investors. This dates back to when Merck came on as investors and the board was almost completely booted because they left retail investors out of the offering.
