I sense that you are far too logical.
Important decisions need to made on emotional responses prefaced with "I think..." which is a rag dress covering an opinion that is in turn based on a belief.
But I will store away the comment that "it costs big dollars in the oil industry to extract free oil." [pause while I get all the emotional responses] "The same as it costs even bigger dollars to extract energy from free sun and wind. [at that point I seek a rapid exit]
