News: Burey Gold hits shallow thick gold in the Democratic Republic of Congo

  1. Burey Gold (ASX:BYR) has intersected shallow broad intersections of gold from drilling at its Giro Gold Project in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

    This has also confirmed that mineralisation remains open to the northwest and southeast as well as at depth.

    Notable results from the eight holes received to date are:

    - 97 metres at 2.67 grams per tonne gold from surface to bottom of hole including 55 metres at 3.28g/t gold from 21 metres;
    - 24 metres at 1.99g/t gold from surface;
    - 15 metres at 2.46g/t gold from 40 metres; and
    - 6 metres at 22.68g/t gold from 7 metres including 3 metres at 44.2g/t gold from 7 metres.

    Samples from an additional 4 drill holes which reached target depths have been submitted to the laboratory with results expected before month end.

    In addition, soil sampling and detailed geological mapping and sampling programs have been completed over the priority area to the north and south of the Giro Prospect area to confirm the potential strike extent and continuation of gold mineralisation identified in initial drilling at Giro.
