Buxton Resources (ASX:BUX) is drilling ahead at its Double Magic nickel and copper project in the Kimberley region of Western Australia following an earlier nickel sulphide discovery drill hole.
That hole returned a very interesting intercept of 17 metres grading 1.78% nickel and 1.16% copper from 46 metres down-hole.
This also includes a 3.0% nickel and 1.9% copper intercept of 8 metres from 50 metres providing reason for a follow up.
To assist the cause, a placement of $2.0 million at $0.195 each ensured the drill program is funded.
Igniting the interest is the new nickel-copper discovery at Double Magic lies within a similar tectonic setting as Panoramic Resources’ (ASX:PAN) Savannah nickel-copper mine.
The four to six week program is planned to include between 1700 to 2700 metres of RC drilling in between 10-16 holes and between 900 to 1200 metres of HQ diamond drilling in between 5-8 holes.
