I use IBKR for O/s holdings, and find them to be very much removed (aloof?) in their dealings with clients. If you're not a sophisticated investor (or worse, a klutz like me), their whole platform is very difficult to understand. On the sole occasion I felt I needed to talk to someone direct, I was sorry I pursued it after delays and language problems.
On the other hand, if you lodge a written query, it will be answered within a day or two; beware though, if the problem is due to your own misunderstanding of some rule or procedure, they won't recognise that or try to help you with the deficiency in your understanding.
IBKR web-site has plenty of self-learn tutorials which are good. I'm slowly working my way through them. Pity I've reached a stage of life where I need to read something three times and forget half of it the next day.
I had dealings with Commsec as executor of a deceased estate. When you get to speak to someone, they are quite helpful and use plain language. Back then I considered their brokerage charges excessive, but they seem to be coming into line now.
