Just goes to show (but seriously, it really is a problem) that you can read whatever you want on the web.

As a matter of interest, the ABS openly say that even if you manage to obtain a figure which can be described as 'accurate', their "average weekly earnings" should not be taken to indicate what the "average" person gets in their pay-packet. The vast majority earn much less, and even if you filter out overtime etc., the figures are distorted by the smaller number of very high salaries - not all of which are received by people who could be described as executives.
