    I think the best leading indicator is personal credit, especially credit card debt. CCP notes the bottoming and recovery of credit in the US (slide 10 HY22). I also linked a recent article that noted CC debt in Aus showed growth at the end of 21.

    rates: Higher rates might hurt some, however the reason for higher rates is primarily inflation. Inflation by definition actually helps someone with debt, provided there wages increase, as the nominal debt is inflated away.
