I think you are correct on the commentary though for a different reason.
The MD is relatively new to CDA having joined in Jan'22. I listened to the results briefing yesterday and thought to myself the MD was all over the strategy and operations with an experienced numbers man at his right hand side.
Based on much of what the MD said yesterday my assessment is that he wants to under promise and over deliver. I hope I am right.
As an aside it was good to hear the detector sales into Africa apart from the warring countries like Sudan were back to pre Covid levels. Let's hope at soem stage sanity prevails and those warring countries can return to buying detectors and finding gold.
