I had a look back through old posts and someone
@MandB commented on 5/12/15 that waste to energy is nothing new, requires partnerships with a big strategic player and takes years to develop. I think he's pretty much spot on so let's hope the "waste to energy" project is not an investment in something that only works in a lab, will cost $20m to set up and that the board are excited about talking with new parters about!
Here's what I'll be looking for in this new acquisition...
(1) A change of board, if not the whole board goes then at least board control moves to new people.
(2) The acquisition being more than an acquisition of paper. When will something tangible, a machine, be in place and where.
(3) If there is something tangible in place, or at least imminent, where will they get the waste stream from?
If it is real the board, or at least control, must change hands. Why would the vendor put a real business in the hands of the existing board?
Wait and see, but it would have to be a pretty terrible deal not to see at least some shares price appreciation.
