There are advantages and disadvantages of listed and unlisted funds - investors can do their own research on that. Your comment about liquidity is valid although the larger funds can be exited fairly quickly. The generalization about quality isn't valid - there are some pretty lousy assets in both listed and unlisted and vice-versa. If you stick to the larger multi-asset funds you get good diversification and you buy at NTA. I have investments in both types, although I avoid buying listed units at a significant premium.
