The external processor upgrade is around $7-8k I believe. In Australia, most people don't have the kind of cash laying around to pay for the upgrade and the benefits probably don't justify he cost. Peoeple get the upgrade through their private health insurance. Unfortunately, depending on your fund, you are only eligible for an upgrade every 3-5 years.
