IMO it is a result of the myriad and complex range of awards that people are employed under.
And with managers, they are paid a salary, probably with an incidental overtime allowance, but then when you apply the award to them, bingo.
As stated, it is probably unintentional. Remember, Aust is a very expensive place to do business.
Looking for a pollie with spine, to promote a full review and rationalisation of awards.
