It is not illegal for a company to protect its market share. It could be argued QF's action nearly put themselves 6 feet under and to the benefit of VA. except, VA wasted time and money on trying to be QF when it should have tried to be "better" than QF. You know actually putting money into actually having a decent mobile website, systems that made it easy for other airlines who also compete with QF to interline with you, and I don't know having a check in bag drop system being faster than the low cost carrier on the other side of terminal 2.
But by all means, continue flying Virgin Administration.
