Bad luck mate - but remember that if the shares do turn out to be worthless as determined by administrator/receiver that you unfortunately (as an investor, not a trader) cannot claim tax loss until such time as you get a letter from administrator/receiver stating that the shares are worthless, and this typically takes a couple of years (eg reefer to Onesteel/Arrium).
