The comment by Hopkins in the article Killing Cancer from the Inside, should possibly be read in conjunction with a statement from the Half Yearly Report;
"Phylogica is now engaging with select academic and commercial collaborators to access a broader range of therapeutic cargoes, as well as their established cellular and animal models systems where we can rapidly evaluate functional activity."
I doubt whether 'seeking partners' or 'internationalising' the company is pie in the sky rhetoric. I suspect that Phylogica is at an advanced stage of negotiation in relation to both forging long term partnerships (through to clinical trials) as well as bringing on board venture capitalists with longer time horizons than the dripfeed available through the Australian market.
Normally, stories such as Killing Cancer from the Inside spring out of events or announcements. Perhaps we are close to one.
