The company are retiring as much as they can of their 2009 hedged gold (27,270) for the current financial year into the current period when gold prices are typically lower...12K+ oz sold in the previous quarter.
With hedge commitments largely met ofr the fin year, ALD will then take advantage of the spot prices when gold is typically stronger - from September onwards - to maximise cashflow
