So you ask where are the dividends? Basically Rupert's taken your dividends, and went gambling with the money. The dotcom investments which lost several hundred million dollars is one example. Tough luck! He's spent your dividends for you, that's what's happened. LOL.
The low PE makes this a very tempting buy, but i agree though, poor stewardship of shareholder's money by management and question marks over some business segments are deal breakers. Newspapers are a dead end industry with declining readership a certainty. Producing TV shows will have its economics impacted by people becoming more saavy at ways to watch it free of charge and ad free. It's not a stock you can sleep safely on!
