My opinion of a good-value stock is:
Stability
1. Market dominance
2. Good dividend returns
3. Steady capital growth
4. Good management practices
5. Management Accountability
NWS scores with number 1. 2-5, NWS fails. When choosing a Bancroft for the NWS board, they chose that 27 yo ballerina with no expertise or experience. Rupert has put his kids in top positions, and they have little to no experience, and with Murdoch being the most substantial shareholder, the company is at his behest and run for his benefit only. Invest in NWS and you invest your confidence in a 77 year old man who has a reputation for being self serving and with do anything to further his own business interests. Nepotism is considered normal practice at News Corp. What really turns me off the most is the pathetic dividend.....sh-- on a stick!!
Yes, I've lost money on this one and would only reconsider re-entering NWS once the share price is down to $5, which I believe may happen if graph trends are anything to go by.
