I bought at $26.35, and while I'm hurting over the paper loss I'm enduring, I still believe the share price will pick up in the long term. Compare the size of this juggernaut to it's share price. That's why $31 looks cheap. Murdoch is all powerful in the media world with more political and financial clout than anyone could ever dream of. It has no problem attracting the best of the world's talent and is basically debt free. News Corp is the mafia of the media world, and gets bigger and more powerful by the minute.
The only thing that concerns me is Rupert's age. He thinks he'll live forever...he would wouldn't he. Such a brilliant mind is irreplaceable.
Is James a suitable replacement? Lachlan seems too erratic for my liking. I would feel more comfy if Elizabeth were Rupert's heir.
