One of the few stocks on the ASX that is spared from the savage from recession fears.
I think this is one of the stocks on the ASX that is recession proof, if you think about it's business model. It's a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), but unlike many of listed trusts that invest in office buildings or shopping centres, CQE invests in child care centres and/or early learning centres which tend to be in demand in all cycles of the economy. Also they have some pretty up-market real-estate than the shack under the gumtree that I used to go to as a kid.
CQE offers a good quarterly distribution as well, currently above 4%.
