On the most recent data out of both China and Italy, 13% of all persons infected with Covid19 require between 2 and 3 weeks of hospitalised intensive care.
This, in nearly every one of potentially tens of milions of cases, will involve, inter alia, treatment by intravenous infusion of immunoglobulin (Ig).
CSL is the world's #1 in the Ig space, which represents more than 40% of revenue, and is also the supplier best placed to ramp up production.
On my math, this is a strong positive, but I would certainly be happy to get some clarity from management around the impact of Covid19 on CSL's operations.
