I wouldn’t read too much into those numbers.
Payments to plasma donors are decided at an operational level, and can be adjusted at very short notice. The pricing of CSL’s various plasma-derived product lines is subject to contractual agreements and would require a considerably longer notice period for any upward variation, so we’re seeing an obvious lagging effect here.
As inflation works its way through the world’s economies current supply contracts will expire and prices for CSL products will be renegotiated to reflect past inflation and any other increases in costs. This will be greatly to CSL’s benefit and advantage.
