happypunter - look @ IAG, spoecial divi a few weeks ago, and guess what? share price is almost over cum-div price! and ALL their shareholders have thicker wallets, and not a cent lost in capital!!!

CSR holders may as well change our names to Divlesspunters...

would have been nice to bank a bit extra and get a good boost to our share price (>15%).

now, lets add all the things that can go wrong in the three, yes 3 YEARS we have to wait...

1) aluminium goes nowhere causing drain
2) downturn as EVERYONE predicts actually happens in residential
3) competitors penetrate
4) another global event (GFC mark 11)
5) corp pay+bonuses squander what should be ours
So if nothing goes wrong, we may get 5% rise....wow.....5%... but if any, of the above or any other negative external influence...what would our magic buyback do for us...?
regardless, i dont wanna wait anymore....waited from mid $3's to low $2.....to get this? buy backs simply DO NOTHING to the share price.

point is, if i had no faith in csr, wouldnt be here, just dont think this stupid decision will help to get us back to target of $4++, dont get me wrong, I predicted this earnings boost, doesnt take a genius to work out that we have a growing population that needs our products and will do so for many years....but this decision results in $150M squandered over 3 years.....i really was expecting some reward for WAITING!! while watching every other stock lift 5% daily...

the market is underwhelmed by this, its obvious. they shouldve released the earnings upgrade and inferred a lifting of the cash payout and watch this thing rocket to $4..., while taking a nice special divi along the way...
be serious, anyone here who is genuinely LONG, why wouldn't you want a slice of the below:
1. announce earnings upgrade (same boost we got)
2. infer lift in cash payout (more boost)
3. announce special div for extended period (strong boost)
4. holders recieve 21c++ (14% annualised yeild) each half year over a 2 year period (minimum....)

= loaded pockets for shareholders and $4++ shareprice.

ill remind you where we are in 3mths (div'less) and where we couldve been.
