Cue Energy Resources (ASX:CUE) shares are in pre-open following the ASX granting the company a trading halt.
The company requested the halt pending details regarding a supplementary target statement which will incorporate an independent expert's report.
Cue Energy has previously received an on-market cash takeover offer for shares NZOG Offshore Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of New Zealand Oil & Gas Limited) doesn't already own.
NZOG acquired a 19.99% interest in Cue Energy in late December 2014.
The Cue Energy directors have unanimously rejected the offer.
The halt will last until the opening of trade on Wednesday 4th March 2015, or earlier if an announcement is made to the market.
