If it's a rumour, then don't repeat it.
The "junior CEO", is this a new one, or the same one that was appointed prior to GM deciding to renew for another 5 years under the CEO's leadership? I'd suspect that GM would have had significant interaction with the CEO, so would be best placed to critique the experience and suitability of the CEO. I think this is most definitely something they'd look at prior to offering out a 5 year contract. The market talks.
