KIN will need capital to start mining as only an explorer atm and seem to have some nice projects.
Since not producing any ounces and further drilling to undertake, a seat at the table could be their way finding additional funding for both without capital raising imo.
Who knows what talks are or have been happening between GMD and KIN, but if all this talk about a regional consolidation are going on, then I imagine someone is taking someone to lunch and who knows... maybe even a few dinner dates.
Like most, just waiting for further market releases
