    Sept 21 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1345 GMT on Tuesday:

    ** Walgreens Boots Alliance WBA.O is spending roughly $970 million to acquire a majority stake in Shields Health Solutions to expand its specialty pharmacy business, the companies said.

    ** Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) 8306.T is pulling back from U.S. retail banking with the $8 billion sale of MUFG Union Bank (MUB) to U.S. Bancorp USB.N as digital technology and industry consolidation squeeze out smaller lenders.

    ** DAZN, the sports streaming service owned by billionaire Len Blavatnik, is in advanced talks to buy the sports television unit of Britain's BT BT.L to gain content including English Premier League soccer, the Financial Times said.

    ** Russia's biggest bank Sberbank SBER.MM plans to sell its 25% stake in biometrics company VisionLabs to Sistema AFKS.MM to focus instead on its investment in rival group Speech Technology Center, two sources close to Sberbank and Sistema told Reuters.

    ** Brazilian energy and logistics company Cosan CSAN3.SA announced it has signed a contract to acquire a 47% stake in Grupo Radar from Mansilla Participacoes for about 1.479 billion reais ($278 million).

    ** Brazilian conglomerate Novonor, formerly known as Odebrecht, said in a letter to petrochemical company Braskem SA's BRKM5.SA board that it has not yet decided on how to sell its controlling stake in the company, Braskem said in a securities filing.

    ** French drinks company Pernod Ricard said it has signed a deal to buy Whisky Exchange which specialises in online sale of spirits, as part of its e-commerce expansion strategy.

    ** Brazilian renewable energy firm Renova Energia SA RNEW11.SA , currently under bankruptcy protection, has accepted private equity firm Vinci Partners' proposal to acquire a subsidiary for 266 million reais ($50 million).

    ** Australia's APA Group (APA) made a revised bid of A$9.96 billion ($7.22 billion) for AusNet Services Ltd (AST) , intensifying a battle with Canada's Brookfield Asset Management BAMa.TO to acquire the energy infrastructure firm.

    ** British transport company National Express NEX.L is in talks to acquire rival operator Stagecoach Group SGC.L in an all-share deal, which would result in cost savings and provide new growth opportunities for the companies.

    ** Swiss drugmaker Novartis NOVN.S said it has bought gene therapy specialist Arctos Medical for an undisclosed amount, aiming to boost its efforts to find treatments for severe vision loss.

    ** French television company Canal+ VIV.PA said that it had acquired a 70% stake in media company SPI International, a global media company operating 72 TV channels.

    ** The Chinese government's restructuring team will help property developer Evergrande 3333.HK at least get some capital, but it may have to sell some stakes to a third party, such as a state-owned enterprise, Dutch bank ING INGA.AS said.

    ** Royal Dutch Shell RDSa.L said it would sell its Permian Basin assets to ConocoPhillips COP.N for $9.5 billion in cash, an exit from the largest U.S. oilfield for the energy major shifting its focus to the clean energy transition.
