July 15 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1400 GMT on Friday:
** South African mobile group MTN MTNJ.J is in talks to buy smaller rival Telkom TKGJ.J in a stock or cash-and-shares deal that would leapfrog market leader Vodacom Group VODJ.J .
** A judge will hear arguments on Tuesday for Twitter Inc's request for a September trial in its lawsuit seeking to hold Elon Musk, the world's richest person, to his $44 billion deal for the social media platform, according to a court filing.
** Danish industrial company Danfoss has signed a deal to sell its Russian and Belarusian business to local management, the company said in a statement.
** Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone APSE.NS said its acquisition of Haifa Port with a local Israeli partner will boost trade lanes with the company's Indian ports and could better connect Europe and the Middle East in the longer term.
** Norway's Elopak ELO.OL , a global supplier of carton packaging and filling equipment, said it had reached an agreement with local management in Russia for the sale of its Russian unit JSC Elopak.
** Telecom firm Ericsson ERICb.ST has received clearance from the U.S. national security panel to complete a $6.2-billion acquisition of cloud communications firm Vonage VG.O , the Swedish company said.
** Swedish lock maker Assa Abloy ASSAb.ST said its planned acquisition U.S.-based Spectrum Brands' home improvement division could be delayed to 2023 due to regulatory concerns, instead of being completed during this year.
** Australian carrier Regional Express (REX) said its unit would buy aviation operator Cobham's fly-in fly-out (FIFO) business National Jet Express (NJE) for A$48 million ($32.41 million), marking its entry into the charter servicing sector.
** Ben & Jerry's and its parent, consumer products company Unilever Plc ULVR.L , plan to seek mediation over the disputed sale of the ice cream maker's Israeli business to a local licensee.
