** China's Yankuang Energy 600188.SS said it had walked away from a potential deal to buy the remaining shares in its majority-owned unit, Yancoal Australia (YAL) , due to recent market conditions.
** Britain's Royal Mail RMG.L said it was not involved in talks with a private-equity firm over a potential sale of the postal group amid clash with its largest labour union over pay.
** Crédit Agricole CAGR.PA has bought a majority stake in its Egyptian subsidiary Crédit Agricole Egypt CIEB.CA , the Egyptian bank said .
** Indonesia may form a consortium to take over a 35% stake in the Masela gas project held by Shell SHEL.L after the company signaled its intention to withdraw, the investment minister said.
** Brazilian brokerage Avenue Holdings Inc expects to reach the 1 million customer mark soon, an executive said, after Brazil's largest private lender Itau Unibanco ITUB4.SA agreed to acquire a stake in the firm.
** German Finance Minister Christian Lindner sought to damp speculation about the government's stake in Commerzbank CBKG.DE that it acquired during a bailout more than a decade ago.
** U.S. technology investment firm Thoma Bravo said it would not make an offer for Darktrace DARK.L after it failed to agree the terms of a deal for the British cybersecurity company.
** Finnish forestry group Stora Enso STERV.HE said it had agreed to buy Dutch packaging company De Jong for an enterprise value of 1.02 billion euros ($1.02 billion) which includes 250 million in lease liabilities.
** Telecoms firm Ooredoo ORDS.QA has signed an agreement to sell its Myanmar unit to Singapore vehicle Nine Communications Pte Ltd, the Qatari company said .
** Swedish real estate firm SBB SBBb.ST said it had signed a letter of intent to divest a property portfolio at a value of nearly 9 billion krona ($840.33 million).
