That scenario is a pipe dream. I would think that in a recession DHG and REA listings would actually increase as there would be more forced sellers and investors trying to get out.
One of the reasons for the property rally has been due to lack of stock. Hopefully this tide turns and people can actually afford to buy property again with increased volumes being good for DHG/REA. Here’s hoping.
