David Jones Limited (ASX:DJS) has inked an exclusive agreement with Australian designer Nicola Finetti.

 

The department store says the designer's collections will be available from the start of the autumn and winter 2014 season in February next year.

 

The move highlights the increasing trend by Australian department stores to sign exclusive brands to attract customers in a challenging retail environment.

 

Nicola Finetti says joining David Jones will allow the brand to grow and prosper.

 

David Jones generated a full year net profit of $95 million in fiscal 2013.
