LONDON, Feb 14 (Reuters) - The dollar fell against the yen on Wednesday after a Japanese official said the authorities were closely watching moves in the market as the yen traded on the weaker side of the 150 threshold.

Chief cabinet secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi said it was important for currencies to move in a stable manner that reflected their fundamentals.

The dollar was last down 0.24% against the yen JPY=EBS at 150.38, still close to its strongest since November, having broken above 150 the previous day.

The 150 level has in the past been viewed by traders as one that could pave the way for official intervention in the market. (([email protected]; +442031978531; Twitter: https://twitter.com/a_coops1;))
