Downer EDI Limited (ASX:DOW) has secured a contract for electrical work on the new Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre based in Melbourne.
The contract is valued at more than $85 million and involves full electrical services from installation to testing.
Construction of the hospital commenced late last year and is due for completion by the end of 2015.
The engineering services company also announced last week that it had won another contract worth around $90 million with Jellinbah Group.
The contract involves blasting services for the Jellin-bah mine in Queensland’s Bowen Basin.
In the first half of the 2012 financial year, Downer reported a net profit of $85 million.
