SGH's business value completely plummets if you put it into external administration because it has no physical assets - just WIP and debtors you are trying to collect from other solicitors. You also end up with multiple external administrators appointed by the banks and the Court (to look after interests of case management, file transfer, trust accounts etc.). If those external administrators have a different view on how things should be done...
DSH had a shot business model and clearly did a very poor job in managing its inventory for Christmas 2015.
