I agree with the communication by management could deliver some more transparency of what is going on in the business but there may be other considerations that management needs to take into account.
I don't think that this has anything to do with the actual running of the business.
Management does not want to promise anything or loose credibility when timelines are not met because they are beyond DTS' management's control as they are working with huge organisations.
Why I believe that DTS is developing services for Pizza Hut US (the same way the QT camera was developed with Domino's):
1) Pizza Hut has not own delivery drivers (unlike Domino's) so DTS invested a lot time to integrate aggregators into the Algo.
2) Third party drivers is developed so that KFC and Pizza Hut can use the same drivers (both are YUM companies)
The other services are surely developed on request from Pizza Hut and/or other QSR chains.
There are probably confidelity agreements with these companies or DTS is very diplomatic as these companies going to use DTS for years to come. So there is no benefit for management to publish too much at this stage.
This is my interpretation of the current state:
DTS is solving long standing issues of the QSR industry by working closely with the biggest companies in the world.
Development cycles:
1) Indentifying the problem,
2) Identifying the ideal solution,
3) Developing the solution,
4) Testing the solution,
5) Implementing the solution into the stores
6) Receiving revenue
From the announcement 22/10 management pointed out where different services are: Algo (5), Total technology solution and Third driver (4), QT Camera (5+6), aggregator inclusion into the Algo (4), Total technology (4)
The high revenue earners( Algo, Third party driver and Total Technology) are currently rolled out or are soon ready for the role out into stores when testing is completed.
I am extremely optimistic about DTS.
Patience is required.
