Yes with online brokers there always appears to be a disconnect between what shows in your account and what you actually own.
For example Kentors Code is now KGL
When it goes deferred settlement the code changes to indicate it is a deferred settlement stock. This is when people appear to have trouble seeing it on online broker accounts. (from what I have heard in the past)
It then goes back to the code KGL after the consolidation is complete.
You can trade it in the mean time but normally that involves a call to your broker. If you explain the situation they can normally still put it through at the online brokerage price.
