It is possible that ASG are purely playing a spoiling game to make life difficult for its competitors. Personally, I have been very wary of this proposal from the beginning, with big risks to DWS holders. I would be quite relieved to see the whole thing fall over.

There is even the possibility that ASGs approach could inspire SMX holders to vote against the DWS scheme but that no ASG offer will eventuate. In this scenario, we could see the SMX share price collapse.
