A bumper dryland crop for Australia is a Tonne to the acre of high protein hard wheat but a bumper dryland (but a lot wetter than us) in the UK is 6 Tonne to the acre of low protein soft wheat. If Egypt can harvest 2 tonne to the Feddan, that would be about 7 million Tonnes of wheat which would equate to 70kg per person. That should be enough to keep them well supplied with flatbreads but I have no idea what their wheat yield or consumption really is. In a normal season we used to send the Egyptians a decent tonnage of hard wheat but not in the last couple of years.
